A Little About Mrs. Van Roekel

Mrs. Van Roekel married her husband Michael on March 29, 2008.  The two live in Parker, SD.  Mrs. Van Roekel is currently in her 4th year of teaching K-6 Title I reading and math and 5th/6th grade math at Freeman Elementary in Freeman, SD.  She is also the assistant varsity volleyball coach for the Freeman Flyers.

Mrs. Van Roekel graduated from Lennox High School in 2001 and pursued a degree in Elementary Education at Northwestern College in Orange City, IA graduating in 2005.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, completing Sudoku puzzles, and working at a clothing store.  She loves to be outdoors and play volleyball, basketball, and softball.  Mrs. Van Roekel is currently pursuing a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction in Mathematics from Black Hills State University and plans to complete her studies in Summer 2009.
